LifeGel for 3D cell migration tests

€99.00
Tax excluded

LifeGel recreates the natural microenvironment of cells. It’s also transparent, so the cells can easily be observed under a microscope and cell migration documented. The hydrogel is supplied on a ready-to-use plate (either 48-well or 96-well).

LifeGel for cell migration

  • Cell migration is a very important process in the development and maintenance of multicellular organisms. The formation of tissue during embryonic development, wound healing and immune response requires the organized movement of cells in specific directions to specific sites. The cells often migrate in response to specific external signals, including chemical signals and mechanical signals. Understanding the mechanism of cell migration can lead to the development of new therapeutic strategies to control, for example, invasive cancer cells. The migration of cells depends primarily on the hardness of the environment in which they are located. To observe the movement of the cells, the most suitable soft hydrogels are chosen so that the cells can freely migrate in the surrounding environment.
  • LifeGel for cell migration testing offers a 48-well plate with 16 types of LifeGel, differing in density and hardness, which are adapted to observe cell movement. This allows the correct hydrogel to be chosen for the tests, which is then supplied on either a 48-well or 96-well plate. The LifeGel is supplied in a saline solution (PBS) or culture medium (DMEM or RPMI-1640).
